If you've used Learn Azure or Learn AWS to study for an exam, you already know us. We just have a bigger name now, and a brand new newsletter.
We heard many of you express the need for a web platform that allowed for studying, following labs and videos, and performing exam simulations. Much easier to do on a larger screen. Hence, the idea of Learn Cloud Academy was born (Subscribers of this newsletter can use code WELCOME25 for 25% off any plan).
Going forward we’ll be launching new exams via the web platform first and then to the mobile apps. The Apple App Store and Google Play Store updates make app edits a bit harder to do quickly. Rest assured your premium purchase of either platform will include ALL new exams going forward.
Learn Cloud Academy is the brand that brings everything together. The Learn Azure and Learn AWS apps, the web platform at learncloudacademy.com, and Learn GCP coming soon to both app and web. Same content, same labs, same practice questions across the board. We're pulling it all under one name so as we grow, you've got one home base for cloud and AI certification.
And we're not stopping at the big three clouds. AI and AI Agents are becoming a huge part of this world. Microsoft is already baking AI into nearly every certification, so that's where we're heading too. This newsletter is how we'll keep you in the loop:
Exam launches and retirements
New features across the web platform and mobile apps
What’s happening with AI and AI Agents
And the occasional deal for our subscribers
On that note, there's some news worth paying attention to this summer.
Three Microsoft exams are on their way out
If you're in the middle of studying for any of these, the clock's ticking:
AI-900 — Azure AI Fundamentals
Retires June 30, 2026 and gets replaced by AI-901. This one’s the closest, just a month out.
AZ-204 — Azure Developer Associate
Retires July 31, 2026, replaced by AI-200, which leads to the new Azure AI Cloud Developer Associate certification.
AZ-500 — Azure Security Engineer Associate
Retires August 31, 2026, replaced by SC-500, the Cloud and AI Security Engineer Associate.
Quick reassurance: if you've already passed any of these, you're fine. Your certification still counts and stays on your transcript. It's just the exams that are going away.
